Her philosophy is that every individual and family has the ability to heal and function in a healthy environment. You will find that Candice is a straight-shooter, and your focus will be on the positive things. “Believe me when I say there are always positives to build on.” Especially in trauma, the commitment to just showing up to get help can be the biggest hurdle.  Candice has worked with individuals and families with a wide variety of challenges. She says, “Nothing is too tough to tackle.” She has a background in multiple types of therapy and approaches each client from an eclectic perspective as there is "no “one size fits all.”

Candice was born and raised in Central Illinois. She received her Bachelor’s degree from Illinois State University and her Master’s from Eastern Illinois University. During the 17 years between the two, she worked and grew as a professional and finally decided that she wanted to be when I grew up, A Clinical Therapist. She would have to say that her passion has always been working with children, teenagers, and their families. It is the foundation where all of us starts our lives. Sometimes that start is not always friendly, but together we can find a path to better mental health.

Her career has been devoted to helping all those that have the courage to seek my assistance in dealing with the challenges in their lives. She believe that you are the captain of your own destiny, and she wants to provide you with the tools to guide you on your way. So if you are a parent with a teenage behavior problem or a teenager with a parent problem, have experienced trauma (of any kind), or need to learn some control over out of control emotions, like anger, give the office a call at (309)676-0538 and let’s talk.
