Samar brings several years of counseling experience to her role, driven by a passion for assisting people navigate different struggles in life. Samar has a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University and a Master’s in Homeopathic Medicine from India with 3 years of work experience in India. Samar is a Licensed Professional counselor with 5 years of experience with trauma focused work, and with kids, adults and families involved with the Child protective services. Samar is a graduate of an accredited program for Adoption competency.
Samar has a rich background working with trauma, & how it profoundly impacts various aspects of life. She is currently learning more about how trauma and addictive behaviors are interrelated at Life Balance Counseling Peoria. She has diversified experience working with clients from diverse socio-economic groups, different cultures, neurodiverse population, and various ages groups. Her personal experience as a first-generation immigrant from India and clinical background in adoption, trauma, and cancer care give her a unique perspective with cultural challenges that people may face. Samar is committed to continue to learn and grow.
