McKenzie Wilson, LPC
McKenzie is passionate about walking alongside teens, adults, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community as they navigate life’s challenges. She has a special focus on working with anxiety, depression, identity exploration, sex and relationship issues, and women’s issues. McKenzie believes that therapy should be a safe and affirming space where clients can show up as their authentic selves without fear of judgment.
A Central Illinois native, McKenzie earned her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Bradley University after completing her Bachelor’s in Psychology from the University of Illinois. She is a Licensed Professional Counselor and is committed to continued growth in the field of mental health. McKenzie has experience supporting clients through multicultural concerns, relationship struggles, trauma, and major life transitions.
Her counseling style is collaborative and empowering. She values building strong, trusting relationships with clients and draws on a range of evidence-based approaches tailored to each individual’s needs. McKenzie’s goal is to help clients discover resilience, cultivate self-compassion, and move toward a more fulfilling, balanced life.
“I believe each person is the expert of their own story. My role as a counselor is to provide support, tools, and a safe space to explore challenges while celebrating strengths. Together, we can create meaningful change.”
McKenzie is credentialed with Bluecross Blueshield, Atena, and Cigna and is accepting new clients. She looks forward to the opportunity to support you on your journey.
